When is the next prayer at my location?
Exact astronomical times from your coordinates - not a city list, no signup, nothing leaves your browser.
Your coordinates are read from this page's inputs, never uploaded. Down the exact minute, mosque timetables may still differ by one or two minutes because of local adjustments and fixed clocks - always follow your local mosque for jama'ah times.
Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, computed for you
Prayer windows are decided by the position of the Sun, and the Sun's position depends on exactly where you are standing. The daily Fajr in one part of a city can differ from another by more than a bus ride. This page solves that the precise way: it works out solar declination and the equation of time for your own latitude and longitude, then derives the five salah times, sunrise, a countdown to the next one, and the direction of the Kaaba from the same numbers. There is no city dropdown list to disagree with, no timetable PDF, and nothing is uploaded - every number is computed on your device.
Why this beats asking an AI chatbot
Large language models cannot run the iterative solar calculations a timetable depends on. Ask about prayer times in a smaller city and you get either a guess from training data or an average across the country, and they routinely mishandle daylight saving, the twilight angle for your chosen method, and the Hanafi Asr rule. This tool performs the astronomy for the exact minute, date, and method you select, recalculates when any input changes, and shows you the individual twilight parameters behind the result - the same way the official observatory engines do.
About the calculation
| Method | Fajr angle | Isha |
|---|---|---|
| Muslim World League | 18° | 17° |
| ISNA (North America) | 15° | 15° |
| Umm al-Qura (Makkah) | 18.5° | 90 min after Maghrib |
| Egyptian General Authority | 19.5° | 17.5° |
| University of Karachi | 18° | 18° |
| Tehran Geophysics Institute | 17.7° | 14° |
Sunrise and Maghrib use the standard 0.833° horizon dip that accounts for refraction. Asr follows Shafi'i-style one-shadow or Hanafi two-shadow. At extreme latitudes where twilight never ends (summer in Reykjavik), Fajr and Isha have no valid solar angle, and the tool tells you so instead of showing a fabricated time.
How accurate are these times?
The solar core is derived and iterated to about one minute, which matches what prayer timetable engines publish. A mosque clock can legitimately differ by one or two minutes for local adjustments or jama'ah scheduling, so treat this as a datebook-grade result, then suit your community timetable.
Is my location private?
Yes. When you use GPS, the browser gives the page the coordinates without sending them to any server. The numbers are computed with JavaScript in your device, and your last location and settings are saved in your browser only.
What if I don't want to share GPS?
Type your latitude and longitude in the fields directly. Any coordinate works, including traveling or offline use - the calculations run entirely in your browser after the page loads.
Why does my mosque list different times?
Most often because your mosque applies local adjustments in minutes, follows a method or madhab you didn't select, or publishes jama'ah (congregation) times after the calculation time. Choose the settings your community uses, and follow your mosque for congregational prayer.
