Summary
DevTools Hub is a privacy-first website. We do not track you and set no advertising cookies. No personal data is required to use anything here. Almost all tool processing happens entirely in your browser, so your code, files, and inputs never leave your device. The exceptions are the AI tools, which send what you type to a third-party model provider, and anything you choose to give us on purpose: the optional email on a feedback form, or a comment and star rating you post on a tool page — all itemised below.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
- No personal identification information is required to use any tool or to submit feedback — the name field on a comment and the email field on the feedback form are both optional and you can leave them blank. Nothing is collected about you unless you type it into a form.
- No tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
- No analytics that follow you across the web.
- No user accounts or login data.
2. Information We Do Collect
- Anonymous Cloudflare Web Analytics — page views, country, browser type. This is privacy-first analytics that does not use cookies and is not personally identifying. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Voluntary feedback — if you submit the feedback form on a tool page, we store the text you provided along with the page URL and timestamp. If you choose to fill in the optional email field, that address is stored alongside the report and is used only to reply to you. It is never sold, shared, or used for marketing.
- Tool comments and ratings (public) — every tool page has a “Comments & Ratings” form. If you post a comment we store the name you typed (optional), the comment text (up to 1000 characters), the star rating you chose and a timestamp, against that tool's URL in Cloudflare KV. Your comment and rating are then published on that tool page for every visitor to read, along with your name if you gave one. Do not post personal information in a comment. The comment form is not a substitute for the feedback form above — use the feedback form for anything you want removed quietly.
- Server logs — standard HTTP request logs (IP, User-Agent, path) retained by Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention. These are not used for tracking.
3. Third-Party APIs
Some tools (AI Chat, Translator, Grammar Checker, Math Solver, AI Detector, AI Humanizer, Image Generator, Story Animator, Paraphrasing Tool, Plagiarism Checker, Resume Builder, Cover Letter Generator, Citation Generator, ATS Resume Checker, Text-to-Speech, Text-to-Video, Text Summarizer, Subtitle Generator) make requests to third-party AI providers (Groq Whisper, Groq Llama, Google Gemini, NVIDIA NIM, SiliconFlow). When you use these tools:
- Your input text is sent to the selected provider to generate a response.
- These providers may have their own data retention policies. We do not control them.
- Do not submit sensitive personal information to AI tools.
4. Local Storage
Some tools store preferences in your browser's localStorage (e.g., AI Chat conversation history, theme preferences). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
5. Children’s Privacy
DevTools Hub is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your Rights
We collect no personal data by default. Anything we hold, you chose to give us: the optional email address on the feedback form, and any name, comment text or star rating you post through a tool page's Comments & Ratings form. Both may be asked to be deleted at any time by contacting us through the feedback form — please say which tool page and roughly when. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare for a short period for security and abuse prevention and cannot be linked to you by us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
8. Contact
For privacy questions, use the feedback form on any tool page.
9. Subprocessors
Under GDPR Article 28, we publish a list of every third-party service that processes user data on our behalf. See the Subprocessors page for the full list with purposes, locations, and privacy-policy links.
