SVG to PNG Converter
Convert SVG vector graphics to PNG, JPG, or WebP. Rasterize with custom scale, exact dimensions, and background color — all in your browser. No upload, no signup.
1. Input SVG
2. Output Settings
How to Convert SVG to PNG
- Upload an SVG file or paste SVG code into the text area
- Choose output format — PNG (transparent), JPG (smaller), or WebP (modern)
- Adjust settings — scale, custom dimensions, background color
- Click "Convert" to rasterize the SVG to an image
- Download the result
Why Convert SVG to PNG?
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is perfect for logos, icons, and illustrations that need to scale to any size. But many platforms don't support SVG:
- Social media — Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X/Twitter require raster images
- Email clients — Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail strip or break SVG rendering
- CMS platforms — WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix often block SVG uploads
- Documents — PowerPoint, Google Docs, and PDF workflows need fixed-resolution images
- Legacy browsers — Older browsers and devices don't render SVG reliably
Features
Upload or Paste
Upload SVG files or paste SVG code directly. Supports both workflows.
Multiple Formats
Export as PNG (with transparency), JPG (smaller files), or WebP (modern format).
Scale & Size Control
Set custom output dimensions or scale by 0.25x to 4x. Maintains aspect ratio.
Background Control
Transparent background for PNG or choose a custom color. JPG always needs a background.
100% Browser-Based
SVG is rendered to Canvas and exported as image. Your file never leaves your device.
No Signup, No Limits
Unlimited conversions. No account, no watermark, no daily caps. Completely free.
Why This Tool Beats AI
- AI cannot render SVG. Large language models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini generate text. They cannot rasterize SVG vector data into pixel images.
- Deterministic output. Canvas-based rendering gives exactly the same result every time — no hallucinations, no variations.
- Privacy-first. Your SVG is rendered entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
- Sub-second conversion. No queue, no waiting. Most SVGs convert in under a second.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between SVG and PNG?
SVG is a vector format — it uses mathematical paths to describe shapes, so it scales to any size without losing quality. PNG is a raster format — it stores a fixed grid of pixels. SVG is best for logos, icons, and illustrations; PNG works everywhere and is the universal standard for photos and web graphics.
Does this tool preserve transparency?
Yes. When exporting to PNG, you can keep the background transparent. JPG does not support transparency (it fills with white or your chosen background color). WebP supports transparency just like PNG.
Is my SVG uploaded to a server?
No. The SVG is loaded into an in-memory image, rendered to a Canvas element, and exported as a PNG — all inside your browser. You can verify this by opening your browser's network tab. Zero data leaves your device.
What is the maximum SVG size I can convert?
SVGs up to 5 MB can be uploaded. For SVG code pasting, there is no strict limit, but very large SVGs (10,000+ lines) may slow down rendering. The output image size is capped at 10,000 × 10,000 pixels.
Why is my converted image blurry?
Try increasing the Scale setting above 1x (e.g., 2x or 3x) before converting. This renders the SVG at a higher resolution and then downscales to the target size, giving a sharper result. Also make sure your SVG has enough detail — SVG icons designed for small sizes may look blocky when enlarged.
Can I convert multiple SVGs at once?
Currently this tool converts one SVG at a time. For batch conversion, we recommend combining your SVGs into a single file or converting them individually.
